Stephen Edwin King is an American author of horror, supernatural, suspense, crime, science fiction and fantasy novels.
His books have sold over 350 million copies, and many have been adapted into films, television series, miniseries, and comic books.
King published 63 novels, including seven under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, and five science fiction books. He also wrote about 200 short stories, most of which were published in book collections.
King has won the Bram Stoker Award, the World Fantasy Awards, and the British Fantasy Society Awards. In 2003, the National Book Foundation honored him with the Distinguished Contribution to American Literature Medal.
